Siberut, an island of the Mentawai archipelago, is the playground of adventurers and ethnologists. The forest is home to animist communities, who live here in perfect harmony off hunting, fishing and gathering. Their preserved ancestral way of life and traditions and their body art (flowers, tattoos and jewellery) are something of a tourist attraction.
