Welcome to the land of Mediterranean shellfish farming! Here, in this vast lagoon separated from the sea by the Isthmus of Onglous, oysters and mussels are cultivated. The surrounding area harbours many historical vestiges, from the time of the dinosaurs to the Roman era. On the northern shore, the small fishing villages have retained their charming huts tucked away in the reeds.
