Sven Chartier (formerly of the Saturne) and his wife Marianne have built their new nest in this tiny Perche village, opposite a church several centuries old. Free from the frenetic pace of Paris, the chef is flourishing in this country chic décor, pampering diners with wholesome fare of classical inspiration: porkpie, young farm-reared chicken and fresh vegetables, crunchy squash and quince pie.
