A delightful nature excursion in the area around Luang Prabang. Spectacular from July to November, when their waters cascade from rock to rock to large turquoise-coloured natural pools, these waterfalls are not worth the journey during the dry season except for the pleasant stroll through the forest. Elephant rides and zip wires add to the appeal, particularly at the weekend, when it is a popular picnic spot, although it is very quiet here during the week.
